The South African education system

I don't want to be a teacher nor do I know anybody who does. Who's going to teach my child? WAIT!! I am not going to have any children. Who is going to teach my brother's children? ...
WHATEVER!!!

I was talking to my cousin the other day about school. She said she feels if she was in a white school she would know more than me. Hmmm... know more than me. I don't know about that but is the school system getting so bad that even the children see it?

What I think is the problem is that we don't have teachers, no no. We don't have GOOD teacher. We don't have teachers because no one wants to go into education. No one wants to go there because there is more money if you study to be an Engineer than a teacher AND as an engineer you don't have to deal with the modern child. Not that there is anything wrong with the modern child, its just that I think there is so much threats can do. You can't touch a child, beating a child is a crime now, not that its a good thing but when my mom went to school and she didn't do her homework, she knew what was coming.
Parent, NO ONE is going to treat MY child like that!. Do you have homework? let me do it for you. I have heard that before.
Technology, Candice made me read Isaac Asimov in my first year and I liked it and i read another book by him and what was described there was the modern Internet. User generated content such as this blog is wonderful but, read Isaac's The Robot or I robot and you'll see the problem.

Eish mara angaz...

Those are the problems and I can add more but what good will that do? Solutions. How do you teach a child in this time with a large population and all those other factors? How do you teach a child who is concerned with having fun and living for now?

Solve the education problem, and you'll be a step closer to so many other problems, like load shedding...

Is education the problem?
